Our seven focus fields
We are continuously developing our sustainability strategy along clearly defined fields of action – with a special focus on reducing CO2emissions along our entire business activities. Our focus areas show where we are already starting today, which topics we are driving forward in a targeted manner and how these contribute to achieving our three strategic sustainability KPIs.
Key measures include the further development of our electric offering and our financing offerings, the electrification of our own fleets, testing compliance with supply chain standards, conducting governance training, female mentoring programs, the expansion of renewable energies, and measures to increase energy efficiency at our sites.
The topics presented are underpinned by specific measures, goals and key figures that are reported in the Sustainability Report.
Decarbonizing Mobility
We are actively shaping the mobility of tomorrow and supporting the transition to lower-emission drives. One focus is on the expansion of our electromobility offering and the charging infrastructure – and on the gradual electrification of our own fleets.
Recent studies on the entire life cycle of vehicles show that battery-electric vehicles can cause less greenhouse gas and air pollutant emissions overall than vehicles with combustion engines under current and expected future conditions in Europe. Green Finance
With the help of innovative financing products, we provide our customers with access to modern mobility services with measurably reduced environmental impact and a tailor-made charging infrastructure. These are supported by measures such as Sharetoo and the Smart Driver App.
At the same time, we are driving the integration of ESG criteria into our financing activities and using financing instruments such as ESG-linked loans.
Circular economy
We reduce environmental and social impacts throughout the entire supply chain and focus on the continuous reduction and recycling of materials used. We work transparently with suppliers who comply with our supply chain standards, which are ensured through an established CSR assessment process.
Green Building
We implement targeted measures to increase resource efficiency and make our logistics resource-efficient. To this end, we are developing, among other things, take-back concepts for used parts and reuse strategies for traction batteries. We also work transparently with suppliers and contractually agree to comply with our supply chain standards. Before and during the business relationship, we check this with an established CSR rating and monitoring process.
Green Operations & Digital Business
We plan, construct and operate resource-efficient buildings with the aim of measurably reducing emissions with an impact on the environment and indoor air quality over the entire life cycle. A wide range of measures contribute to this. These include, in particular, the consistent implementation of energy efficiency measures, compliance with defined minimum standards and the implementation of recognised building certifications in new buildings. In addition, we ensure the procurement of green electricity and systematically drive forward the gradual substitution of fossil fuels such as oil and gas through the use of heat pump technologies. The strategic expansion of photovoltaic systems is another key pillar for achieving our sustainability goals.
Workforce Transformation
The biggest lever for reducing our emissions lies in working with our dealers. That is why we specifically promote the sale of products and services with the lowest possible emissions.
At the same time, we design all processes relating to sales and workshop operations at our locations to be as resource-efficient as possible. This includes, among other things, concrete targets for energy savings, the consistent digitalization of processes, as well as clear concepts for waste management and responsible use of water, including water recycling solutions in our car washes.
Governance
We rely on strong and clear governance structures. With binding guidelines such as the Code of Conduct, clear responsibilities and systematic qualification of all employees in all areas of the company, we ensure that integrity and compliance form the core of our business activities. The implementation of these principles and measures is firmly anchored in the corporate culture of Porsche Holding Salzburg.
